Welcome you all to VerDeseo, a new publication wishing to become well-known. A sexy, sexless publication that today would like to introduce you to this pair of glasses. With them, you will be able to throw ordinary glances at the surface of life, the daily events. They may not be new, but there are quite a few reasons why they have been forgotten.
What we propose is based on the idea that the current individualistic model of organization is wrong; from its very foundation to its objectives and results. Yet when talking about individualism, we are not only referring to an economic model, but also to a broader group of models; political, social, and humanistic models. We want VerDeseo to produce critical yet joyful viewpoints; able to build alternatives and to play with new meanings in our daily life.
From now on, we want you to heed our call and start looking at things in a new way, a green way. Heed the call to write a new joyfulness; a sustainable joyfulness composed of real social justice and respect for all living things. We want this publication to become politics, so that everyone realizes that in her daily routine and in his most profound wishes, he and she and everybody can find the fuel needed for the politics of our time.
Dear friends, we invite you to participate in this project, and to send us your articles, comments or what you will to this blog, as well as to verdeseo@gmail.com. Our objectives are to publish as much as possible everything related to the Political Ecology of Happiness or your ordinary experience as Verdeseantes; and to keep in touch with all of you that think this new way of looking at things has a future.
What does the word VerDeseo mean?
In simple words, it means “I want to see green” or else “I wish I could see green”. The concept is composed of the words Verde, which means Green; Ver which means To see; and Deseo, which means Desire.
